University services

  • Institutional email address which, through SSO technologies, allows access to University databases, library services and the Eduroam Wi-Fi network.
  • Cable network.
  • Auth-proxy for access to databases from networks outside the University.

Department services

  • Access to the Eduroam Wi-Fi network with your SSO credentials, in the campuses of Piazza del Capitanio and Via Venezia. In the implementation phase for the other campuses. Access to the Eduroam network is possible with any device equipped with a Wi-Fi antenna.
  • Departmental Wi-Fi network for visiting scholars and conferences with SSO authentication with departmental services, or with WPA2 Personal protocol.
  • Access to printers and multifunctional equipment with University SSO credentials, or with a multifunctional badge associated with your account.
  • Office automation software packages (MS Office with Campus licence), statistical analysis (e.g., SPSS), textual analysis (Taltac), data mining (SPAD), video analysis (Transana), qualitative data analysis (Atlas.ti).
  • Laboratories for specific research needs at the Via Venezia site (see research laboratories).

Services for PhD students

  • A reserved room in the Philosophy Library with access to the Eduroam network.
  • Privileged access to 10 computer stations in the Philosophy Library and 10 computer stations in the "Ettore Anchieri" Library.
  • A room equipped at the Sociology campus with computers for methodological exercises in data processing.
  • Laboratories for methodological seminars concerning the processing of both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Private offices, with workstations equipped with computers connected to the network, at each of the four main campuses.

Services for research fellows

  • For activities that require access to several computer stations at the same time, the research fellows have access to a computerised room at the Palazzo del Capitanio campus.
  • Private offices, with workstations equipped with computers connected to the network, at each of the four main campuses.
